The song Angel is a tribute to his lifelong friend that had recently been murdered by the police while in the county jail. “It was a really hard but necessary song for me to do. It was written prior to his passing. His life direction was on a bumpy road so I wanted to surprise him by dropping Angel on his birthday. It was an expression of what our friendship meant to me. Who could have predicted what happened next? Releasing it was therapeutic. It helped me deal with the agonizing loss. Every song I create or perform is dedicated to Sean Decker. He was my biggest fan.”
