Written by Alexander James Rodriguez and Liz Rodriguez, with lots of production enhancements from Alexander, ‘Circles In My Mind’ is an emotional story of young love that suddenly fades, leaving questions to be answered. There is nothing to suggest anything went wrong, but the seasons changed, and one is left behind pondering and heartbroken.
Vocally Alexander delivers an emotional heartfelt performance – and if you listen carefully, you will hear his pounding heartbeat within the song.
The music video was filmed at Lake Arrowhead in California on an Autumn Sunday with special guest Zoe Grace Rodriguez.
Fun facts: The original beat for the song had been circling since mid-2021 but was never fully written. There was a clear hook, which remained in the released record, but no melody for the verses or bridge. Fast forward to August 2, 2022, and finally working title ‘Circles’ was being recorded at West Coast Customs.
