“That Muscle Shoals Sound” is a tribute song for Jimmy Johnson and The Swampers, (Barry Beckett, David Hood and Roger Hawkins). The song lyrics tell the story of a hopefully guitar player who thumbs a ride to Muscle Shoals to get a job at the Muscle Shoals Sound recording studio. The storyline is fashioned loosely around Duane Allman’s venture to Muscle Shoals and artist Rick Revel’s own experience in the music business.
