Staffordshire UK
How long have you been making music?
Since the age of 16
What genre would you consider your music to be?
Alternative Rock, Punk, Grunge
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I was inspired by bands of the 70s and as a rebellious teenager, I needed an outlet. Coming from a family with no musical background, it was a challenge but it paid off.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Definitely Nirvana, Alice in Chains and the Sex Pistols
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
Independent
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Currently it is working as a solo artist. When I was in a band, it was much easier and less time consuming. Now that I have material out, it’s about spreading awareness and getting exposure.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
Technically 3 Ep’s. But only 1 under my own name.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
It was certainly a challenge playing, recording and mixing it all myself. The only bit I don’t do is the drums, which I pay a session drummer for. I miss the energy of Live music, I think a lot of people did because of the lockdowns too, so I have tried my best to capture that energy. In a way I’m grateful for being on my own however, it has allowed me to have full creative control and I have learnt a lot from it too.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Absolutely! I have two music videos releasing shortly and I’m already working on my next project which hopefully will be an album.
