How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making music all my life, but just started recording in 2022

What genre would you consider your music to be?
Afropunk – afrobeatz with a blend of r&b, hip hop, pop and rock

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
It became an outlet for me to better understand my experience as I navigated my mental and emotional health.

What are your biggest musical influences?
Michael Jackson, P-Square, Linkin Park, Janelle Monae and Sam Cooke

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m an independent artist

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Having the confidence to put my experiences out there

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released two EPs to date.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Our hearts can lead us to despair. What do we do when we lose hope in the face of injustice, envy, loss, and hunger? We feel our feelings, emotionally regulate, and get back on the bus. There are more feelings to feel, more people to meet and more destinations along the way. Heart Bus Despair is Act I of the Heart Bus series.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Act II is Heart Bus Desire targeting a 2024 Valentine’s Day release
