My name is C.V.M. I’m from Grand Prairie tx I am a 20-year-old college student who attends Prairie View A&M University, I major in Mass Communication and a minor in Music. Music has been around me all my life and its something that helps me express myself and connect with others around me
Where are you based?
I’m based in Dallas Texas but i attend Prairie View A&M University in the houston area
How long have you been making music?
I started writing muisc when i was 12 years old but i didn’t take it seriously until i was 18 so i’ve been making muisc for about 9 years
What genre would you consider your music to be?
I would considerd my music to be R&B, Urban and Contemporary
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
Growing up watching Michael Jackson, Chris Brown and Usher videos i was inspired by their music and style and also my moms side of the family is very musically inclined so when i found out i could sing that’s when i knew i wanted to persue a music career
What are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest musical influences are my life experiences and the others around me as well, i find that life experiences make for some of the best songs
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
No i am currently an independent artist
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The biggest challenges i face in my music career is believing in my own talent when people don;t and having confidence to make the music and write the lyrics that flows from my heart, because i fear that people won’t like it or understand my message
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
Currently i have released one song called ” Replay ”
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Replay was about a crush i had at the time but when i decided to write about it, i wanted to introduce my sound and who i was as an artist being that it was going to be my first official single
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I am currently about to release a new single called ” No Sleep ” and shortly after that i will be releasing an EP
