Independent R&B artist Anjaleia McDonald has come a long way from home to pursue her music career. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on December 27th 1993, Anjaleia continuously auditioned for modeling jobs as a child. Anjaleia’s creative process has been influenced by several genres of music such as Soul, R&B, 90s music, Rock, Country, Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Rap since the age of 7. She relentlessly worked to perfect her vocal ability, which in turn ignited a passion for songwriting, vocal arranging, and producing. Determined to reach new heights, Anjaleia remains hungry and works hard to showcase her steadily growing talent. With her incredible voice, unrivaled passion for music, and “never say die” attitude, this young songstress continues to work through life’s adversities, always keeping her family at the forefront, and aiming to wow and inspire her growing fan base.

How long have you been making music?
I officially started singing professionally in 2014, but I’ve been singing since I was a kid.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
I would have to say RnB for sure.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
Watching my mommy and hearing her sing made me want to pursue it as a career. When I grew up and started listening g to my moms favorites such as Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson, it grew far more intense.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Beyoncé, Tina Turner, Lauryn Hill, I could go on for days
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m independent baby!
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
My biggest challenge is finding the perfect sound because perfect doesn’t exist! I have more fun letting go and testing new creative ways because I understand everything is bound to change at some point.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released 4 solid records so far honestly. I have not yet released a single album but I have featured on quite a few tracks.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
This release is my very favorite because I was more hands on with Crazy than any record I have ever recorded and it was the most simple, yet rewarding experience.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I will be releasing a new record THIS SUMMER! Stay tuned! I also have a project dropping this fall!
