Becky Crosby is an artist who wears her heart on her sleeve while composing her jazz and funk rock influenced pop music. She is a 21 year old musical artist in the New York City area. Over the years she has been influenced by female-fronted bands and artists like; Paramore, P!nk, Pat Benatar and Julia Michaels. As a lifelong musician, Becky has learned to blend different genres together to curate a unique sound. This project, “Laugh It Off”, is Crosby’s debut EP and includes five tracks. She started writing the songs for this EP in 2018 when she felt like she had the world on her shoulders. As a whole, this EP deals with issues of heartbreak and pain, presented in an upbeat and catchy package. She started recording this project in 2019 but due to Covid-19 restrictions was unable to finish it until recently. This EP was recorded by Crosby’s band made up of; guitar, bass, drums, piano, baritone sax, alto sax, trombone and trumpet. It was written by Becky Crosby, engineered by Ash Mcmillan and mastered by Craig Smith. This whole project has been in the works for a very long time, and Becky is so happy to finally be able to share it with everyone this January. Take a listen!
