I’ll Notice You is about love and acceptance and is the opposite to the character in Carly Simon’s ‘You’re So Vain’.

It deals with the struggle between fearing to be noticed and desiring to be noticed. So there are dilemmas everywhere in the music – emotional singing versus calm singing, simple vocal lines versus complex interplay of melody. Emotional outbursts and periods of calm. This climaxes in a soaring guitar solo that takes us through a sea of emotions to a calm ending.
