Aquaya is An American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Aquaya has performed with multiple artists and featured on various singles. Her sounds are of sweet jazz and soul music. Her influences for music is Whitney Houston and Beyoncé. She currently working with Whatalife Music Collective an independent record label.
Aquaya has been performing in theater since the age of 10 playing the lead role of Diana Ross in a production called “Back Down Memory Lane.” Aquaya showed her interest in music and performance at a young age. Then on she knew the stage is where she belonged.
She was also a part of a duo girl group, Manifest Music for approximately 10 Years. In 2017, Aquaya decided to work on a solo project to explore the music industry as an independent artist. Since her solo journey, she has performed on various platforms. In April of 2018, she was invited to perform for the Alabama State University vs. Talladega College Battle of the Bands. On that day she rocked the stadium of over 3000 people to the cover song of SZA “Broken Clocks.” Since then, she has been traveling and performing in the Southern Region showcasing her artistry. Aquaya released her first professional single Rose Colored Glasses “RCG” in the fall of 2019.
She continues to showcase her talents by performing for venues. On October 15, 2020 she dropped Habit, Bounce Remix. Later she published a visual for Habit Bounce Remix and yielded 30k views in one week.
