Duplexity is an Indie Rock duo from Beverly Hills, CA. Formed by teen siblings Savannah Judy 17 and Luke Judy 16. Luke and Savannah have been performing their whole lives but recently decided to take their talents into the studio and create their original sound. The music is inspired by 90’s alternative rock sometimes channeling a hint of metal mixed to have a modern feel. Their debut single “Billboards” is a nod to their 10 year child actor journey they started when moving to LA for acting opportunities. Their first EP is set to be released in October ’23 and will be an upbeat coming of age collection of songs that will speak to fellow Gen Z-ers. Both Savannah and Luke are accomplished singers who take turns on lead vocals while performing with a live band. Coming from a musical family Savannah is a bassist and they both play guitar among other instruments.

I am based in Los Angeles, CA.
How long have you been making music?
I have been making music since I was about 12 years old, after I started attending The School of Rock performance program. After the first time I sang on stage with a band … I was hooked!
What genre would you consider your music to be?
I consider our music to be eclectic, Indie pop rock! We are a new, young band so we have many styles we are experimenting with, plus we love so many kinds of music genres.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
The biggest thing to inspire me to pursue a career in the music industry is my parents. They are so supportive and always want us to do what makes us happy. They saw how much music is a part of me and they have and continue to encouraged me every step off the way!
What are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest musical influences are: Paramore, Foo Fighters ( Dave Grohl), Madonna, Pat Benatar, Lady Gaga, Kiss. I named all of these amazing bands not only because of their amazing music but also because off their dedication to their craft and their work ethic! I have the utmost respect for all of them!
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am in a sibling rock due with my brother Luke Judy, we are Duplexity! We are independent and we are loving the artistic freedom and control that we have. We, one day (of course) dream of get signed and put into the” big machine” of the music industry! But, for now we are new and young and paying all of the dues and LOVING every minute of it!!
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The biggest challenges of our musical career so far have been a couple things; working all of the tasks associated with practicing, performing and promoting the band. But honestly the biggest challenge has been learning who really is your friend and who isn’t. It’s hard finding out who is supporting you and who doesn’t!
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
We have released 3 singles; ‘Billboards’, ‘Drop The Act’ and ‘Demons’. All of them are off our 5 song debut EP. The other songs on the EP are ‘Breaks My Heart’ and ‘Black Dress’
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Our latest release is our Debut EP titled ‘Billboards’ It is an eclectic mix where I sing lead for two songs ‘Breaks My Heart’ and ‘Drop The Act’ and Luke sings lead for two songs’Black Dress’ and ‘Demons’ and the title track is a duet named ‘Billboards’ which is an ode to our 10+ year child acting journey and living here in LA.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
We have almost finished our follow up 5 song EP. We have not decided on the title yet, we will start releasing singles off of it in the new year. Expect the EP to release by Summer 2024. We have a few music videos we have done and we want to continue to make more for the rest of our songs and release them in 2024. We plan to perform live more and would love to do a small local tour!
