How long have you been making music?
I released my first single in May 2021 but I’ve been making music since I was 8
What genre would you consider your music to be?
I’ve been using the term “Dream-Punk” which is kind of like punk mixed with ambient synths and electronic add ins. Honestly, though, I experiment a lot with other genres and styles and I collaborate so much that I don’t think just one genre defines me. I think there’s a little bit of something for everyone.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I always knew I wanted to be in music. I have family members who have great tastes in music or are musicians themselves so I was surrounded by it. But, I was scared to actually pursue it myself. When I went to Berklee Valencia, I was going to get my music business degree and be a fan engagement specialist. When I got there I made a bunch of very talented friends and they encouraged me and helped me believe in myself as an artist so that’s when I started pursuing a career in earnest.
What are your biggest musical influences?
I have a lot of influences, but I think the biggest ones are Stand Atlantic, IU and Harry Greyson-Williams.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m not signed. Yet.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Believing in myself and my worth as an artist and a person
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released 2 singles and a remix
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My first single, EMOT!ONAL, was a collaboration with an amazing producer named Luminosity. It was very electronic heavy and fun. With this release, “Penny Thoughts”, I wanted to strip it down and make it as raw and acoustic as possible. The song is a play on the phrase “a penny for your thoughts” and it’s meant to show what happens when a relationship is on it’s very last legs. All the anger and pain is stripped away and all that’s left is the reality that there’s no fixing it. It’s a very soft and beautiful ballad.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Yeah! I am actually working on a few different projects at the moment. The music video for “Penny Thoughts” is dropping tomorrow and I have an EP coming out this year called “Danc!ng w/ Anx!ety” and a few collaborations in the works. I’m also working with DJ Luminosity to put on a few livestream shows in August. So a lot of fun stuff!
