How long have you been making music?
I started producing when I was 15 in 2016. I would sit in front of my computer grinding fl studio for weeks until I was able to come out with something that was different. I didn’t actually post my first beat until 2017, when I started my soundcloud account under the name “lil milk”. I made multiple album tapes over the years where i sorta developed my wavy, trippy production style that would eventually set the path for my debut album “Expired”, I never even considered using my voice in my music until my closes friends told me I should, listening to them was the best decision I ever made. I dropped my first real song ever, “Butterfly”, under the label RareRangers after I send it to them via email earlier in the month not even thinking I had a chance of getting signed, and created the debut album that I consider my magnum opus just based off of how personal that album is to me, it was my first shot at telling a story through music and it goes a lot deeper than it may seem at surface level I think that and it being my first album gives it a special place for me. Since then I’ve dropped 2 albums, 2 EP’s and a handful of random singles as well as ones leading up to those projects, I have worked with multiple artists and featured on many tracks the past year and even reached and insane milestone of 6000 monthly listeners. I left my label in March 2020 after dropping my second album “Pills & Paranoia” and decided to put all the money I had made from the previous year into building my own record label, “CLOUDBOYS” , since starting it I have signed 7 additional artists that I found randomly through the underground of soundcloud, these guys had like 11 plays on each song and I couldn’t believe how much raw talent was being unheard so I reached out to them and pretty much all of them were down for it and now they my homies, beat cook up sessions, featuring on each other’s music, 2k, anything to make this pandemic a little more bearable.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
It’s definitely a mixed bag, I always strive to never stick to one genre, I’ve dabbled in Rap, Pop, Hyperpop, Emo rap. I like to show off my versatility, even better when there’s something for everyone, if you don’t like the pop stuff, maybe you’ll like the rap stuff.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
There’s a lot I could talk about here but I’ll keep it short and simple, it is 100% my friends, they are the ones that would play my beats everytime I got in the car, would always praise it and give me the feedback I wanted, and drove me to eventually gain the confidence to use my voice, and for that I can never thank them enough, i do this shit for them. They the people I think about when I’m making beats to this day, Joe and Sam you my homies forever
What are your biggest musical influences?
I could talk about my favourite artists all day but as far as direct influence goes i would go with Oliver Francis, 6 Dogs, Yung Lean, Xavier Wolf, Bones, the list really could go on forever but those are the ones that jump to my mind first cause that’s what was on rotation when I was making beats and still is to this day, I think the influences are quite apparent especially on the production side of things, I definitely would not have developed my production style without Unknown Memory by Yung Lean, and Oliver Francis and 6 dogs had such a heavy impact on my rap style and flow, as well as the production. I can confidently say without 6 Dogs, Pills & Paranoia would simply not exist. Something about a kid in a small town pursuing his dreams and making it work always fascinated me which is why I think I resonate with those artists so well, it’s me and my friends in this, no one else. We are growing bigger and better every month and I can’t wait to release my new EP later this year
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I created my own label, CLOUDBOYS which I have been signed to since April 2020, we now have 8 artists signed in total and have released multiple albums and EP’s the past year, we have big things in the works that I’ll explain at a later date, we are definitely doing merch soon tho so look out for that
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Definitely getting my music heard and connecting with my audience is an issue I’ve been dealing with for a while. 5000 monthly listeners is not nothing obviously but I’m really trying to build an audience and that 5000 monthly listeners has not translated over to my Twitter, I get a couple follow and DM’s every so often that make my day, it’s nice to know their really are people out there listening and enjoying the stuff I put out I would just like to being able to connect more and build something, that paves the way for bigger things, merch, twitch streams, etc.

2 Albums, 2 EP’s and 12 Singles since May 2019
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
AUTUMN LEAVES is the first single off of my upcoming EP “MEMENTO MORI”, it’s a primarily rap project with elements of blended jazz rap, this is one of my personal favourites from the EP and I thought best to drop this one to tease the EP because it really sets the tone for it, that and it’s such a step up from my previous work I wanted to blow some minds with this one.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
My upcoming EP “MEMENTO MORI” drops May 10th and I can’t wait for you to hear it, so much work has gone into this and it really feels like the next big step for me. I really hope you fuck with it as much as I do.
