Recording Artist Justin Brown was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Justin found his love for singing in the church choir at the tender age of 7. Growing up in Hawaii, helped Justin learn to story tell through his music and also created his love for string instruments. At age 10 Justin’s family moved to California where he enjoyed the hip hop scene which added to his current sound. His earlier influences are Dru Hill, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Earth Wind & Fire and, The Temptations. The sounds, harmonies, lyrics and, rhythms of these class acts captured his heart at an early age. By the age 17, Justin taught himself to play the piano by ear.
Justin describes his music as being full of emotion, heartache, love, hate, and, soul. His lyrics give us lessons in love and how to handle the ups and downs of a relationship. Justin’s goal is to be remembered as a one of the great songwriters of our time and to change people through his music.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
The joy that music brings to others was all the inspiration I needed. I wanted to make music that will let others know and understand they are not alone emotionally, physically, and mentally.
What are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest music influence are Dru Hill, Boyz 2 Men, Prince, Usher, Neyo, Trey Songz, and Pleasure P. I am very eclectic when it comes to music so all music inspires me.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am an independent artist. I have had opportunities with labels that were not major labels but, unfortunately things did not work out.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The biggest challenges were getting my music out to the world where I can not reach by myself, finding producers that make music to compliment my voice, and trying to trust people that say they have the best intentions for my music career when they never did.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released approximately 20 songs since I have begun singing and song writing. In total I have recorded on over 40 tracks including my own.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest released songs are called #Amazing ft. T.1.Foe and #MakeLuvAllNight. For some reason every time i work with my long time friend and associate (the artist) T.1.Foe, we have always made magic with our music. We inspire each other to become greater. The songs #Amazing is our latest creation that we put out as a Demo. Many love the song and we have heard nothing but great things about it. My other song titled #MakeLuvAllNight was a song that I wrote with the artist Prince in mind. I love how he made music and when he passed away, I made a dedication to him by recording the song in a way that I thought he would.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I have a few more projects I am working on besides music. I am currently writing a book titled, “Shattered Bones.” I was inspired by Tyler Perry and the novel writer Zane. I am in the process of writing the second part to the book at this moment. I hope you enjoy my music as well as my books.
